The AN-6010 emits a red light with a range of 660 nanometers which acts on the mucous membrane in the nasal cavity. Light acts in the blood of the capillary network, produces a photo-chemical reaction and is then absorbed by the mitochondria. Many enzymes in the mitochondria such as catalase and superoxide dismutase is activated. This chemical reaction speeds up cell metabolism, increases glycogen content, catalyzes protein synthesis and breakdown of adenosine triphosphate, promotes the growth of granulation tissue and healing wounds and ulcers. Phagocytosis of hemoleucocitos can have an effect of reducing inflammation. The 660-nanometer light can also accelerate the speed of movement of calcium ion (Ca2 +), improves immunity against disease.
The red ray intensity and duration of treatment of this device are two variables to adapt to the different stages of the disease.
